Registration required   Mark Aguiar is the Walker Professor of Economics and International Finance and Director of the International Economics Section, at Princeton University. As a macroeconomist, he studies emerging market business cycles, sovereign debt, the political economy of capital taxation, growth, and linkages between labor, consumption, and inequality. His recent work on sovereign debt concerns self-fulfilling debt crises and equilibrium maturity choice. He has served as editor for the American Economic Review, the Review of Economic Dynamics, and AEJ: Macroeconomics. Prior to pursuing an academic career he was a Foreign Service Officer. 3 to ‘throw’ a series of all-nighters interrupted only by trips on the ‘roundabout’ … a wait and return Uber to their home for a shower, change and then a sleep-deprived return to work.
