KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia has issued an unusual market activity (UMA) to Vinvest Capital Holdings Bhd on the sharp fall in its share price recently.
Bursa Malaysia closed marginally lower on Thursday (May 11), with cautious investor sentiment pushing the key benchmark index down for a third straight day. At 5pm, the FBM KLCI had eased by 0.04% or half a point to 1,425.18, from Wednesday’s close at 1,425.68.
Bursa Malaysia opened lower on Wednesday (April 19) due to the possibility of yet another interest rate hike by the US Federal Reserve during the next Federal Open Market Committee meeting in early May, said an analyst.
Bursa Malaysia ended the morning trading session higher as bargain-hunting activities emerged amid improved market sentiments, an analyst said. At 12.30pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 4.84 points to 1,427.43 from last Friday's close of 1,422.59.
Bursa Malaysia ended lower for the fifth consecutive day on Tuesday (March 14) following mixed cues on Wall Street overnight as investors dealt with the fallout from failed banks in the US, including Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), said an analyst.
