Bursa Malaysia erased earlier gains to end lower on Thursday (Feb 16) due to profit-taking on a lack of fresh catalysts, as investors remained cautious amid the mixed performance of regional and global equity markets, a dealer said.
Bursa Malaysia ended the morning trading session on a positive note, mirroring regional markets’ performance as bargain-hunting activities emerged following the earlier sell-off.
Bursa Malaysia opened marginally higher on Wednesday (Jan 25) after a long weekend, due to the Chinese New Year holidays, trading cautiously, taking its cue from US stocks, which closed little changed on Tuesday.
