It appears that a new last-minute agreement is being reached for the Live Oak farmers market to remain at the East Village Shopping Center resulting in a new one-year lease.
After five months of extensive renovations, The Picnic Basket in Santa Cruz has reopened with greatly expanded offerings (like a frittata panini with housemade sweet chile jam, and a Southwest Bowl with sweet potato, quinoa, pinto beans, and more) and seating options.
The brewery and taproom New Bohemia Brewing Co., also known as NUBO, has shuttered its doors. Co-founder and brewmaster Dan Satterthwaite announced the closing on Instagram late last week, and included the fact he has brewed more than 100 different lagers and ales during the brewery’s nearly-nine-year tenure.
The Penny Ice Creamery is holding its annual Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at all locations. Also, the ice cream shop has Valentine’s heart-shaped ice cream pies, featuring dark chocolate ice cream, sea salt, caramel, and a chocolate crumb crust, available at stores and online.
