My take is the beaches down south, theyre beautiful, pretty, nice, white beaches. Everyone goes on sunny days. Up here we dont get those sunny days. Maybe we dont have the same sand but i will say this, when it comes to overcast skies i think more people around the bay area go to those beaches. When i bring my children, those are some of the greatest days. A lot of people in the bay area enjoy our coast around here because we dont get that sunshine like l. A. Wild chase through multiple bay area counties as a shooting suspect avoids several attempts by police to spike the cars tires. It led to an hours long standoff that shut down interstate 80. It shut down the freeway at green valley road, creating a massive backup. The chp says the suspect was wanted for shooting at someone this morning along highway 101, in windsor. A bullet went through the back of a car, seemingly chosen at random, and the driver was not hurt. Police located the suspected shooters vehicle three hours later in a parking lot. The driver took off as officers closed in. The pursuit continued across several freeways with multiple failed attempts at spike strip stops where hes really uh avoid the spike strip, so be careful. As the link, effects of the drought continue to alter the states landscape and raise the risk of wildfires. Bay area firefighters got together today to talk about drones. The Menlo Park Fire Department demonstrated how drones can save lives and property. This is a symposium for Fire Departments today at stanford. So far, only 23 Fire Departments in california are using drones. Menlo park first started using them in 2014. This is Game Changing technology for us. Were firefighters first, but when we do get the chance to put this up, we can gain an aerial view which can allow the incident command to possibly change the way he is at t cloudy running the operation and possibly save firefighters lives. A cal water operator noticed someone cut the locks on the gate and on one of the 250,000 gallon water tanks. He found graffiti and possible tampering with the venting system. Its a very heavy system. We dont think there was any branch, but out of an abundance of caution were telling our residents not to drink the water in the Sunshine Gardens area. Reporter cal water took initial water samples. Color ridge, p chlorine, ph turbidity and temperature results are all normal. Reporter but he wont know the results of more extensive tests till saturday afternoon.
