Bangladesh is on high alert to face the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm Mocha as it approaches landfall in its Southeastern coastal areas tomorrow. The Cox’s Bazar airport has shut down its operation from Saturday morning till Sunday evening in view of the approaching Cyclone.
Uniindia: New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) The extremely severe cyclonic storm "Mocha" hit the coastlines of Myanmar-Bangladesh coast on Sunday, with a maximum sustained wind speed of over 200 Km/h, which could see dangerous flooding on land around the Bay of Bengal.
Bangladesh Disaster Management Minister of State Dr. Enamur Rahman has said that the Very Severe Cyclonic Storm Mocha is not turning into a Super Cyclone as the wind speed has decreased.
