Homeless Woman In Custody After Making False Gun Report
A transient woman was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon in Newhall after she allegedly made a false gun report in an attempt to get two individuals “in trouble” after a verbal argument.
Around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to a fight call where a person reportedly had a gun on 16th Street and Railroad Avenue in Newhall, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“While dispatch stood on the line with the caller, deputies were able to locate her near the east side of Railroad Avenue and 15th Street in Newhall,” Arriaga said. ....
