Porter, Des Moines Register © Hip-Hope Inc./Special to the Register Many Shades of Colour Young Women s Conference A virtual conference staged by Des Moines nonprofit Hip-Hope will seek to build young Black and brown women s self esteem and resilience by pairing them with mentors who have achieved success. The fourth annual  Many Shades of Colour Young Women s Conference will feature women such as keynote speaker Pepsy Wirth, who works on Microsoft s Xbox team; North Liberty City Council member RaQuishia Harrington; and Kira Canada, a sophomore at Lincoln High in Des Moines with a perfect GPA. They ll be speaking to some 480 sixth-through-12th grade students.
