The des moines Public Work Department says it is already been preparing the roads for the upcoming snow. They are applying brine to the citys 225 miles of snow routes. The snow begins to accumulate oncethe snow begins to accumulate the plows will be out , constantly until the snow stops and the snow routes are plowed. Then those same plows will start , work on the residential streets, the side streets. Parking bans on city streets will be in effect in most communities across central iowa because of the snow.
