These are just some of the many adjectives used to describe Freddie van Sittert, former
DistrictMail journalist and Helderberg local who died on Monday 4 January following a âfierceâ battle with Covid-19.
She was an integral part of the
âMail newsroom for 29 years, whose work made a remarkable difference in the lives of the community, and was also dedicated to serving others, as the several recognition awards Van Sittert received from local clubs and welfare organisations in the basin in her lifetime are testament to.
