hello, i m martine croxall. we begin with breaking news from the middle east. hamas says it s launched a large missile attack on the city of tel aviv. rocket sirens have sounded there as well as across other cities in central israel. it s believed that the rockets were fired from the rafah area of southern gaza. let s go live tojerusalem and speak to our correspondent danjohnson. yes, they aerate sirens have been sounding across a large area of tel aviv in the last hour or so, we have heard interceptions over the city by colleagues in tel aviv, at least six, possibly eight rockets that have been intercepted by israeli defence systems which are very effective, but it does look like some of these rockets, that we believe were fired from the south of gaza, from rafah, have got through, there are videos emerging of where they have land on open ground. no word yet on whether serious damage has been caused, whether there are any casualties, but it marks another moment in this confl
