top of the hour, i m erica hill. good to have you with us this morning. election day, two weeks away exactly. today there is a major focus on pennsylvania. voters gearing up for a key senate debate tonight. republican mehmet oz and john fetterman will face off in the first and only debate. this is a new poll showing fetterman leading with a narrow margin. we re on the ground in harrisburg with a preview of tonight s debate. plus overnight in florida, governor ron desantis vying to keep his job facing off against challenger charlie crist in their debate, the two trading barbs, insults, on a number of topics. charlie crist will join me in just a moment. but let s begin with what is expected to be the fiery debate tonight in pennsylvania. jessica dean is on the trail in harrisburg. and it is important, this is the only debate for voters between oz and fetterman. what are we expecting them to tackle tonight in addition to the expected fireworks? right. well we re going to see
earlier this morning two buses full of migrants arrived in washington, d.c., from texas. texas governor greg abbott ordered that the migrants be dropped off on vice president harris doorstep at her residence at the naval observatory. governor abbott and governor ducey of arizona already bussed thousands of migrants to other states in recent weeks. also today, florida governor ron desantis proudly claims he chartered two flights to bring 50 migrants from texas to martha s vineyard in massachusetts. there were seven families on those planes, including children. if this was his idea of a solution to the migrant issues, you would think that the governor would have alerted the governor of massachusetts to this. but these plane loads of migrants reported arrived without any warning to local officials who scrambled to set them up at a local church. here s how desantis sees it. we re not a sanctuary state, and it s better to be able to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction. yes, we will
globalized financialized trickle down markets where governments think that cutting taxes is the only thing that you could do to achieve prosperity. so i think the new prime minister is going to have to figure out what is the game plan, what is the new formula. and that is tricky for conservatives in the ux k. and for republicans in the u.s. are they still about just cutting taxes and letting the markets do what they want? i think the last few years have shown us that with the pandemic and the lack of ppe and the war in ukraine, and the energy issues there that the market doesn t always know best and government does have a role to play. the question is how are they going to play it. and i feel like the last couple of years have shown us on certain levels all of what we thought we knew has gone out of the window. we look at the economy here in the u.s., as is there going to be a recession or not and unemployment is so low and yet there are all of these real concerns. so recession obvio
