West and Southwestern parts of the state will include Aligarh, Mathura, Agra, Meerut, Moradabad, Bijnor, Pilibhit, Bareilly, Rampur, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Etah and Hardoi. These places will be at risk of having moderate to heavy showers with lightning and thunderstorm.
Another low-pressure area is expected to develop over North Bay of Bengal which will also move in North West direction but that weather system how will recover to North and North East from East Madhya Pradesh.
The low pressure area has already lost bit of steam and is expected to flatten further in the next 48hr. The weather system is likely to break up due to proximity of hills. It will get subsumed by the monsoon trough, running across central and eastern parts of the state.
Rains are likely to commence from 27th Aug over East Uttar Pradesh and cover the rest parts subsequently. Rainy spell is expected between 27th Aug and 02ND Sep. Spread and intensity of the monsoon bursts will be higher between 30thAug and 01st Sep, than on other days. The rainfall belt will probably shift along the foothills after 02nd Sep.
West Uttar Pradesh is likely to witness scattered moderate showers over the next 3 days. Saharanpur, Bijnor, Muzaffarpur, Meerut, Moradabad, Hapur, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Badaun, Shahjahanpur and Lakhimpur Kheri are expected to have intermittent short duration showers.
