Monsoon trough will start moving north from July 26 or 27 and will be over Indo Gangetic Plains by July 28. Rain activities will also intensify over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar on July 28 and may continue with good intensity for at least next 3 to 4 days.
The state of Uttar Pradesh was the most deficit pocket with eastern pocket at 72 percent deficiency and Western region at 52 percent. With these rains, the deficiency was covered to some extent.
