take over the investigation into the classified documents found that joe biden s home and former private office this came just hours after the white house counsel s office issued a statement saying more documents with classified markings have been found in the storage area in the garage at the wilmington delaware home and another room adjacent to the garage the same garage where biden keeps the 1967 corvette. by the way my corvette is in a locked garage. so the material was in a locked garage? yes as well as my corvette but as i said this week people know i take classified documents and classified material seriously. i also said we are cooperating fully and completely with the justice department s review. let s start with a white house correspondence the white house is facing tough questions about when they publicly acknowledges second set of documents. soon they have been clear they have been cooperating throughout the course of this investigation as it has bee ....
conventional, he said going forward his program is the only program allowed in this country. competing programs are not allowed anymore. they re illegitimate, they re dangerous, a threat to the republic itself. joe biden declared that his political opponents are enemies of the state, terrorists, in fact, comparable to al qaeda on 9/11. now biden and harris said this. they didn t say it in private, grousing bidderly to aides in the oval office, they said it in public on television, and didn t flinch as they did. so you have to think about the implications of this. the united states is a two-party political system. has for our whole lifetime. if the leader of one party, who happens to be the president, redefines the other party, not as a political party, but as criminal organization, what is he doing? of course he s demanding a one-party state. that s what biden is doing. he s using federal law enforcement to make it happen. so the question is, how is he getting away with ....

thanks so much. nice to see you. thanks for joining us. i m christine romans. new day starts right now. it is something that has never happened before. at least not like this. the fbi searches the home of a former president. so, why? why would a federal judge agree there was probable cause a crime had been committed? what exactly were agents looking for? what is so urgent that merrick garland would sign off on this, assuming he did? i m john berman here with brianna keilar. these are some of the questions we will try to answer this morning. admittedly, some of these questions don t yet have answers. this is what we know so far, early monday morning, federal agents executing a warrant searched donald trump s mar-a-lago resort. we are told this is part of the investigation into the handling of classified documents, taking them from the white house to mar-a-lago. mishandling classified documents, hiding or destroying them, if that is what happened, could absolutely ....
the investigation. walk us through some of the key revelations in here. well, the reason why the fbi went to mar-a-lago just over two weeks ago to do this unusual this highly unprecedented search was because after reviewing the 15 boxes that were retrieved earlier this year from mar-a-lago an sent back to the national archives, they found 184 unique documents bearing classification markings. that s a lot of documents that were being stored in an unsecured environment in the basement at the former president s beach house in palm beach. that s the bottom line of why the fbi was so concerned, why the national archives were so concerned and why this became a criminal investigation in february of this year. obviously this is now an investigation that is ongoing and that s the reason why there is so much information that is still redacted. about half of the pages in this 38-page affidavit document are still redacted because the fbi says it has concern about the safety of ....
