Camden metro police chief Scott Thompson spoke with us moments ago. He says that the officer is doing okay. But he will be monitored throughout the night. So as we take look at video from the scene earlier this evening, here is what we know. This happened just after 10 00 oclock tonight in the south section of the city near eighth and chelten. Officers approached three suspicious males. Thats how the police chief worded it. One started to run. The officer engaged in some sort of a struggle witness suspect after they say he pull out gun. That suspect were told shot the officer. Fellow officers managed to arrest the suspect right there at the scene. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. He was not injured. What can else can you tell us about the investigation . Thats right. Police are saying they are making significant progress in terms of identifying these three attackers. They have not yet named them or given any details about them. Just a short time ago, they called on the media not to speculate as to the identity of these attackers. They will release the names as soon as as possible. Theres more details about the raids and arrests taking place in the eastern part of london. 12 people arrested, one of whom has been released without charges. Seven of those people were women.
