Zamboanga City Hall(PNA file photo) ZAMBOANGA CITY - For the first time in history, this city will be home to one of the five testing centers in Mindanao for this year's Bar examination. Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar said Tuesday that the venue of the Bar examination here, which will be held from February 4 to 6, is the Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU). The Bar examination will also be simultaneously held in the cities of Davao, General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, and Iligan. The Bar examination was supposed to be held here on January 16, 23, 30, and February 6 but was postponed due to the surge of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) cases. "Due to the Covid-19 surge, what used to be a four-Sunday tradition in the conduct of the county's Bar examinations has for this year been shortened by the Supreme Court to only two days (Feb. 4 and 6) with Zamboanga City, for the first time in the Bar history, as one of the testing areas," Salazar said. Salazar has issued ....

"If they would not like to be vaccinated, they may opt for a work-from-home arrangement. However, they will be subjected to regular monitoring and close supervision by (education) officials." The average rate of the debt paper stood at 4.831 percent, lower than the 4.8795 percent in the secondary market on Monday's trading. BTr's last award for the same tenor was on Nov. 9, 2021 and the paper fetched an average rate of 5.130 percent. Total tenders for the T-bond during the day are more than twice the offer volume at PHP72.24 billion. In a Viber message to journalists, National Treasurer Rosalia de Leon said while the coupon rate of the debt paper rose compared to its July 2021 level, its interest rate remained below the secondary market level.
