A group of 13 pro-Palestinian Stanford University students were arrested and a law enforcement officer injured Wednesday morning after protesters barricaded themselves inside the building that houses the university's provost and president, authorities said.
Protesters marched from Memorial Church to the Department of Public Safety on Wednesday to protest Israeli bombing in Rafah and demand that the University drop alleged charges against a pro-Palestine student.
Students gathered at midnight on Monday to enjoy free breakfast served by campus administrators. At Arrillaga, protestors criticized President Richard Saller's stance on the ongoing Israel-Gaza War.
University leadership clarified Stanford’s free speech, neutrality and academic freedom policies at this quarter's first Faculty Senate meeting. President Richard Saller also addressed a recent antisemitism panel that was disrupted by protestors.
