Has Delhi achieved herd immunity against COVID-19? It is tempting to say yes given the dipping case count assessed in tandem with the latest sero survey that shows 56.13 per cent of people in the city have antibodies against the infection but scientists are wary.
On Tuesday, the Delhi government announced the results of the fifth sero survey, with a sample of 28,000 across 11 districts in Delhi. The score of 56.13 per cent seroprevalence with Southwest Delhi highest at 62.18 per cent and North Delhi lowest at 49.09 per cent indicates perhaps that the national capital could be the first in the country to achieve herd immunity. ....
