New Delhi: UAN, generated for every provident fund contributing member, acts as an umbrella for the multiple member IDs allotted to an individual by different organisations. The idea, therefore, is to link multiple Member Ids allotted to a single member under a single UAN. This number is only accessible to you. This unique identification number, in a way, is a virtual lock and key to your PF deposits.
