Are your forecast first. Brad wx wall weather adlib our first winter storm of the season is on the way for friday with central and Northern Iowa to take the worst of this one. Before that happens, we will actually have a pretty quiet night over central iowa as those strong winds die down and skies remain clear until late tonight. That is when clouds will be increasing from the west with the approaching storm. Friday morning will be mainly dry and cloudy across central iowa with precipitation starting up in the afternoon for locations mainly north of the metro. Temperatures here in the metro will start off in the upper 20s, but should rise close to 40 by mid afternoon. That will help keep the snow accumulation away for most of the afternoon with a rain snow mix possible before 5 pm. I expect most of the metros accumulation to come after 6 pm when temperatures drop into the mid 30s and the winds pick up from the ne. This will make traveling much more difficult friday night in the metro,
