What do you make of these moves? The National Assembly probably has good intentions in terms of fast-tracking that the media does a good job of entertaining, informing and educating the public. They think maybe there are excesses in the media and they should take steps to deal with the excesses but I think they are going about it the wrong way. Our intention is to engage them and see that all of us do what is right and ensure that we have a very robust media, which is vital to democracy

This is the only way to sustain the respect the industry and the journalism profession command around the world”, he added.
