The extension to the Brexit talks was announced following a Sunday morning phone call between Prime Minister Boris Johnson and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The sides have agreed to continue negotiations in the knowledge a deal is better for both sides’ interests than crashing out of the Bloc without one. Neither the Prime Minister nor Ms Von der Leyen set a new deadline when announcing the extension, but with the transition period coming to an end on December 31, the Irish Government has called on the sides ....
