of rail compared to the united states. so all of these transportation areas are really critical for any army moving forward. so that s one reason to get it. there s also a bit of an emotional reason for russians to do this. the mayor of kremena was sanford. he was a pro-russian mayor assassinated a month ago. that was one of the things that the russians may be looking at as kind of a revenge aspect here. so there s that. but the more important thing for them is to move down in this area and grab the transportation modes so they can move further and in basic terms lob this part of the country off the rest of ukraine. against all odds, some ukrainian defenders are holding out in mariupol. the defense is hanging on by a thread, really. what happens if and when it collapses? so, don, this is the iron and steel area that was talked about, all this gray here.
the donbas region. if they succeed in that, what are some of the potential consequences that you see? so i think the one of the biggest things will be an economic consequence. obviously ukraine has huge economic difficulties that have been piled upon it by the invasion itself but if the russians take the donbas, it s going to be about a third to a quarter to a third of the entire country in terms of geographic area. it s also an area that s rich in industry, rich in transportation areas and it s, of course, ethnically russian. but what s interesting about what has happened here is i think the ethnic russian population has basically turned on russia because of the destruction that russia has wrought on that area and they re pro-ukrainian based on what we ve seen right now. they want to stay in ukraine. they don t want to go home to

going to be putting chemicals like the ones that were used in barrel bombs and put them in helicopters. that s the place where you want to get them either at the storage facility or transportation areas. you probably have about a dozen targets easily that you could use for that particular purpose that would be chemical areas. the problem there is poe ttenti for collateral damage. i am told we have video in. it doesn t seem to show much. it is the first we are seeing. it is part of some of the strike. let s take a look. oh, my god. here is a missile.
traveling to new york city to see the sights, check out the sights there. and, you know, there s probably a lot more people in the city now than there would have been a month ago. and again, to me, striking the transportation hub like this is a key part. i mane, it has a couple of pieces and we don t know for sure right now, obviously, we re not going to know for a period of time, but when you look at what terrorism what terrorists do, they used improvised devices like pipe bombs and go to transportation areas. we ve seen this in london, we ve seen this in other locations around the world where they target these types of facilities specifically during these types of holidays. and look, you can t be surprised by any of this anymore. this is the call that s been put out by the bad guys in the world. this is what s been responded to. the technology is out there. and if evil is in your heart, this is the way you re going to go. we ll get new information as soon as it comes in. gentleme
