the UAE Armed Forces, have reviewed the final preparations of the Emirates Mars
Mission team as the Hope probe is a few days away from arriving to Mars’ orbit
in the first-ever Arab interplanetary mission.

DUBAI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / WAM - 03rd Feb, 2021) As the countdown has begun for the first-ever Arab interplanetary mission to enter into the Red Planet s orbit, Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) said today that Hope Probe is now in its most critical stage as the spacecraft is set to capture into Mars Orbit on February 9 at 7.42 p.m., UAE time.
This came as MBRSC held a media briefing today where Omran Sharaf, Project Director of Emirates Mars Mission, said the Mars Orbit Insertion (MOI) is the risky stage when Hope Probe will have to slowdown sufficiently to be captured into Mars Orbit. As it approaches Marsâ orbit, the spacecraft will use its thrusters to reduce its speed.
