First Responders can show I.D. and get a free beer. People can donate at the Secret Trail Brewery website.

CHICO, Calif. - Secret Trail Brewery in Chico is continuing the giving season.
Hops for Heroes is the brewery s way of giving back to all the first responders.
Secret Trail started the Hops for Heroes back in September around the time of the bear fire.
Charlie and Michelle Barrett started the donations by putting in $100 dollars of their own money.
It has since grown to over $1,100.
Receipts of donations ready to be collected by first responders are still on the fridge. Right now secret trail brewery is open for take-out and pick-up only. If you want to donate click HERE.
I don t know if there s much of a difference other than we ve been through it, said Michelle Barrett, co-owner of Secret Trail Brewery in Chico about the second stay-at-home order this year.
Secret Trail Brewery is allowed to serve beer-to-go only during the stay-at-home order, still, they re anticipating to take a hit. It s big. It s very big. It cuts our earnings probably in half, and it probably cuts the profits more than that, so it s gonna be hard, said Head Brewmaster Charlie Barrett. We re gonna try to stay these first three weeks without laying anybody off and then we ll take a look if it goes longer than what the Governor had said, said Michelle about what s different this time around. In the last shutdown, the brewery laid off a majority of its staff.
