TP Chandrasekharan, a former member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)] who founded the Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP), a breakaway of CPI(M) was murdered in 2012.
The HC set aside the trial court’s acquittal of two of the accused, former CPI(M) leader KK Krishnan and Jyoti Babu, instead convicting them under Section 120 B (criminal conspiracy) read with Section 302 (murder) of the IPC.
