Several COVID-19 testing sites are closing in Palm Beach County.
Emergency Management Director Mary Blakeney told county commissioners on Tuesday that all state-run testing locations are shutting down later this week.
Those include sites at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, the V.A. Medical Center and Town Center Boca Raton.
Blakeney says there will still be plenty of places available to get tested for the coronavirus. With the network of private providers, pharmacies and public health clinics who provide testing, we feel this combination of these resources will meet the current demand for testing.
Blakeney says 893,092 COVID-19 tests have been conducted throughout Palm Beach County since testing began.

Volunteers serve up a Christmas feast in Boca Raton December 25, 2020 at 7:55 PM EST - Updated December 25 at 7:55 PM
Volunteers with Boca Helping Hands and The Town Center at Boca Raton have teamed up once again to feed a need in the community.
Each year the event brings hope and cheer to around 500 families in need.
However, this year due to the pandemic, organizers were forced to switch things up and get creative. We’re here to pick up presents and Christmas dinners for our families,” said Marybel Maldonado.
To keep everyone safe, volunteers moved the event outdoors in drive-thru style fashion, all while maintaining a five star service and experience.
