truck in his memory. they should have been celebrating. today would be tony s 28th anniversary with the department. he serves as a firefighter paramedic throughout his entire career. he was on the tractor last night clearing his property to prepare for the storm when he went off the side of a legal, rolled 200 and died. the fire got the call and the agency where his brothers work as firefighters. i feel for the contra costa fire department out there trying to rescue knowing that it was one of their brothers. emergency responders lined the street at attention last night as his body was taken to the coroner. the fellow firefighters say the feeling is summed up in two words. devastation and shock. his smile lit up a room and he loved talking about his two adult kids but made a point to always ask about others. he would remember every child at of any firefighter, remember their name and ask about them. the department is pulling together to help the family. we w
