In the last 45 minutes we learned much more about the deadly officer involved shooting that left a wanted murder suspect dead. It happened in unincorporated san leandro at a motel along foothill boulevard. We go there live. Reporter we are standing at the corner of foothill boulevard and 170th avenue, the shooting happened about a block away from where we are standing at the valeant hotel. The Alameda CountySheriffs Department says a murder suspect out of oakland had barricaded himself inside a room since 11 30 this morning. They negotiated with him for a peaceful surrender for about five hours. Investigators say the suspect came out and opened fire on the deputies around 4 30 p. M.
