Reporter we are standing at the corner of foothill boulevard and 170th avenue, the shooting happened about a block away from where we are standing at the valeant hotel. The Alameda County Sheriffs Department says a murder suspect out of oakland had barricaded himself inside a room since 11 30 this morning. They negotiated with him for a peaceful surrender for about five hours. Investigators say the suspect came out and opened fire on the deputies around 4 30 p. M. They say deputies returned fire killing the murder suspect. His identity has not been released at this time. He emerged from the room, you could see he was moving furniture and other items out of the way, he then produced a semi aut
