depression number 9 out there churning off the coast of cuba. right now, though, that storm is expected to make landfall north of the bay area as you see there putting us in a path where we will certainly see some activity. paul dellegado is here with an yun update. paul: this is the new tract. first, area low pressure slowing becoming better organized. we can tell that by the satellite presentation and also the colder cloud tops. when we you see all the red, a lot of people think this is radar imagery. it s not. this is infrared satellite, and when you see the purple and red, that actually indicates the coldest cloud tops and cold cloud tops indicate very tall thunderstorms that are producing a lot of wind and rain, lightning sometimes, too. they re getting awfully close to the center, so when you see that big flare-up which happens quite systems, it s a sign there s slow organiztion. this is a new advisory and the pressure is down from 1,007 to 1,003 millibars. stor ....
