The Cape boys got the better of the Seahawks 91-79, while the Sussex Academy girls bested the Lady Vikings 94-76. Cape’s boys’ 200 medley relay team of Thomas Weeks, Josh Turek, Brian Fleming and Josh Reinhold took top honors in 1:48.14. Turek followed with a first-place finish in the 200 free with a time of 2:00.50. Reinhold won the 50 free in 23.55. Weeks won the 500 free in 5:28.38, while the Vikings’ 200 free relay team of Reinhold, Marcus Gromofsky, L.B. Harrington and Aaron Senturk garnered first. DAN COOK PHOTOS Dan Cook January 13, 2021 The Sussex Academy boys’ swim team is ready to battle for the Henlopen Conference title this season. They finished last season at 11-1 and took the Henlopen South title, but fell to Caesar Rodney in the Henlopen Conference Championships. “It’s kind of disappointing to see so many teams taken off our schedule,” said senior Trey Mitchell. “But I’m really appreciative that we have a chance to keep swimming. I think our strength is going to be in our numbers.”
