ethompson@lewistownsentinel.com LEWISTOWN Senior class officers at Mifflin County High School would prefer to hold a drive-thru graduation in a similar style to last year when given the option to hold the ceremony at Mitchell Field. Chief Operations Officer Vance Varner explained to the district’s board of directors Thursday that COVID-19 restrictions of six-feet apart per cohort would require students to limit the number of tickets each student could get no more than four. Restrictions would also cause the ceremony to be spread over three nights. Varner explained that, when asked, student class officers prefer to have the option to have more family at the ceremony.

LEWISTOWN Vince Inzerillo, best known throughout Mifflin County as the owner and operator of Vince’s Pizza and Family Restaurant in Burnham and Beaver Springs, died on Thursday afternoon at the age of 67. Inzerillo, who relocated to Mifflin County in 1979 and began running Best Way Pizza in Burnham in 1993, was a beloved member of the community who served as a businessman, coach and mentor to many. Well known for his friendly, welcoming personality, catchy restaurant jingle and countless charitable efforts in the local community, Vince’s impact in and outside of Mifflin County was far reaching to more than just his family, employees and customers.
