TV show Laochra Gael has been running for so long that several of the participants in its first series – John Wilson, Enda Colleran, Brian Mullins, Páidí Ó Sé, Dermot O’Brien – have since passed away, in most cases of old age. Such is the longevity of the TG4 show that began life in 2001 and endures almost a quarter of a century later.
