WILMINGTON Timothy Harold “Tim” Knapp, 55, unexpectedly passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021. Tim was born Oct. 11, 1965, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Boyd and the late Ruth Knapp.
Tim graduated from Cape Fear Technical Institute with an Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering and Automotive Computer Technology. Tim was an avid science fanatic with a passion for the heavenly bodies (1066). He also had a love for archaeology and history of the Civil War. Tim will always be remembered for his extreme intelligence and wicked sense of humor.
Tim is survived by his children, Savannah Knapp of Willard; son, Joshua Knapp of Wilmington; mother of his children, Wendy Knapp; father, Boyd Knapp of Wilmington; sister, Cat Clarke (Peg) of Illinois; nephews, Danny and James Blount; great-niece, Kavindra Blount.
