Ahead of Market: 12 things that will decide stock action on Monday

Nifty traded in a tight range of 111 points to end below the 15,700 level. It formed a small bearish candle on the daily chart with a long lower wick, indicating buying at lower levels. Shares of Gujarat Intrux ( 18.33 per cent) , Premier Polyfilm ( 15.84 per cent) , Everest Kanto ( 14.24 per cent) , Valson Industries ( 13.64 per cent) , Shukra Pharma ( 12.86 per cent) , Times Guaranty ( 12.29 per cent) , KDDL Ltd ( 11.84 per cent) , Indrayani Bio ( 10.42 per cent) , Polylink Poly ( 10.13 per cent) and Nureca ( 10.00 per cent) rallied over 10 per cent. The 30-share Sensex was trading 1365.8 points down at 47466.23 on Monday, while the 50-share Nifty index was 387.1 points down at 14230.75. In the Nifty 50 index, 4 stocks were trading in the green, while 46 stocks were in the red.

Explore Now Benchmark NSE Nifty index was trading 347.15 points down at 14270.70 on Monday on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters. Among the stocks that touched their 52-week highs on NSE were: Wipro, Cadila Healthcare, Greenpanel Industries, KDDL, Saregama India, Times Guaranty, Triveni Engineering, Xpro India, Vivimed Labs, Prabhat Dairy, Praj Industries and Mukand Ltd. Overall, 3 shares were trading in green in Nifty50 index, while 47 were trading in red in the afternoon trade. In the Nifty 50 index, Cipla, Dr. Reddy s, Britannia, Divi s Labs and Nestle India were among top gainers, while Axis Bank, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, Kotak Bank and SBI were trading in red.
