British furniture retailer to open flagship location in Flatiron District
Timothy Oulton will open a new flagship store at 901 Broadway in the Flatiron District.
The British furniture brand Timothy Oulton is opening up a new flagship store in Manhattan’s Flatiron District, despite the bleak retail market facing the city.
Timothy Oulton has leased about 7,200 square feet at 901 Broadway by East 20th Street, the company announced on Tuesday. The lease is for 10 years, and the company plans to open the store during the late summer.
The monthly asking rent was $60,000.
“I’ve always said you can’t influence market conditions; you can only concentrate on your business philosophy and brand and just keep going,” company founder Tim Oulton said. “We are in it for the long haul and have had a pretty clear and consistent vision in mind for a while, so our strategy hasn’t changed much in response to Covid-19.”
Timothy Oulton, the innovative British furniture brand known

space at 901 Broadway at 20th Street, in the Flatiron District.
The new location will serve as the brand’s East Coast
flagship location and the largest and most important retail presence in the
region. McAlpine Contracting will build the new showroom.
Timothy Oulton has an international presence, with 45 retail
galleries worldwide. In addition to the newly leased location, the brand
currently operates seven stores in the United States, including at the New York
Design Center at 200 Lexington Avenue in Manhattan, as well as in Connecticut, Miami,
