Liverpool developer Iliad has submitted plans for a new hotel in the city centre in a move hoped to create up to 250 jobs
Plans have been revealed for a new £30m city centre hotel hoped to create up to 250 jobs.
Developer Iliad has submitted the proposals to the city council, and said it hopes the 190-bed facility on Duke Street will help to continue the regeneration of Liverpool s Ropewalks district.
The company, which is behind various residential and commercial building schemes across the North West over the last 35 years, said it will invest £30m in the development which has been designed by Tim Groom Architects. ....

A 450-home proposal in Partington and apartments in Stretford are to proceed after they received consent from Trafford Council.
Countryside, which completed a land deal with Peel L&P in 2018 for two parcels of land abutting the Manchester Ship Canal, secured full consent for 151 homes on a 10-acre site that formerly housed a caravan park, also obtaining reserved matters approval for the larger site, which is to house 298 houses on around 30 acres.
The breakdown of the reserved matters consent is for 55 two-bedroom, 196 three-bedroom and 47 four-bedroom dwellings.
Outline consent was granted in September 2019 for this site, with conditions attached including the introduction of a mini-roundabout at the junction to the site, open space commitments, and a payment of £384,000 to highways improvements. ....
