Developer Iliad has submitted the proposals to the city council, and said it hopes the 190-bed facility on Duke Street will help to continue the regeneration of Liverpool s Ropewalks district. The company, which is behind various residential and commercial building schemes across the North West over the last 35 years, said it will invest £30m in the development which has been designed by Tim Groom Architects. ....

The most recent delay came about as a result of a spat between Stockport and Tameside councils over Green Belt reallocations (no surprises there) and the publication date has been pushed back once more. It must be tough for those who just want it to be over, but the whole thing would be a lot less frustrating if the GMSF meetings were filmed and aired on TV like some sort of grotesque reality ....
