Thomas Larry Ling, age 85 went to be with the Lord on July 26, 2020 at the Sunset Cottage in Worthington, MN surrounded by his family. Tom was born to Harold and Viola Pittman Ling on April 27, 1935. In 1939 the family moved to the farm in Bigelow Township where Tom would live the rest of his life. On November 15, 1953, Tom was married to Cleo Jones at the Bigelow Methodist church. The couple moved to the Ling farm where they began farming in partnership with Harold and Viola. Four children were born to them, Brian, Roberta (Bobbie), Brad and Bruce. ....

RM of Wilton hands out annual post secondary scholarships SHARE ON: Four deserving youngsters are getting some extra change as they venture beyond the secondary school level. Every year, the RM of Wilton Council awards four $1000 scholarships to graduating students that live within the Municipality. This year the hardworking foursome are Emma McLauchlan, Tillie Jones, Samantha Kenyon and Brant Stephens. Applicants are evaluated and scored on industry of choice, financial need, academic achievement and community citizenship. Priority weighting is based on industry along with community citizenship. In congratulating the recipients, Wilton Council acknowledged the increasing cost of education and welcomed the opportunity to support future community leaders. ....
