The president of the Thompson Chamber of Commerce says the worker shortage in the city is so bad, she was cleaning rooms at the hotel where she's a manager herself because she couldn't find housekeepers. Employers in the northern Manitoba city in several sectors say they're struggling with a shortage of workers.
The community is invited to join the Mayor and other city representatives for lunch next Wednesday.
