investigative committee finally has been released and outlines a series of failures by law enforcement. the 77-page report criticizes a lackadaisical approach by the nearly 400 officers who ended up at the scene of the school shooting. for the first time, we are seeing hours of body cam video. it captures chaos, confusion, and excruciating delays, as critical minutes were ticking by and no law enforcement charged into that room. much more on that in a moment. but let s begin with athena jones in indiana. what are you learning? reporter: this is remarkable. this took place in a mall s food court at about 6:00 p.m. on sunday night. three people were killed by this shooter who came armed with a long gun, and authorities still don t know what led to it, whether these people were targeted. they re looking into that, looking at surveillance video, and further investigating it. but in this case, the police chief of greenwood, a suburb of indianapolis, pointed to what he called a
cell phone, this is one permitting them to look at the contents of the cell phone. eastman is the one who cooked up the dubious rationale for overturning the election. also cassidy hutchinson, former white house aide to mark meadows, is cooperating with the department of justice. that s according to a source with knowledge of the discussions. and it comes with a caveat. we don t yet know the extent of her cooperation. we re learning, though, that she s not alone. this morning, an acquaintance of hers, alyssa farah griffin, said she is, quote, aware of other white house officials who is been reached out to by the department and are planning to cooperate, end quote. she was more specific when asked about it this afternoon. there was someone else in the broader network who i would consider mid level that could support what they re looking into specifically around similar questions to what short was asked about, which is the pressure campaign on mike pence in the days leading u
why have we heard so many different messages, frankly, lies families don t know thank you. i m going to ask my colleagues if they want to comment as well. multiple systemic failures. our report does not look at other comments that have been made to try to compare and contrast and whatsoever. we laid out the basic facts as we were charged with to do. and what i said early on about law enforcement. the officers who knew or should ve known that this was an active shooter situation by their training, experience should have done more. we are very clear on that. not every officer on the scene had that same information and had that same opportunity to comply with their training. one of the things this committee has not done because we re a three-person committee, is to go through and determine which law enforcement personnel knew what, what did they know and when they knew it. in order to do that i think that s going to take many months to go through all of the different video
