Im richard lui. Another blow to the iconic jersey shore. The community is still recovering from Hurricane Sandy and now a huge setback. Thursday a monster fire engulfed and destroyed some 50 businesses along the boardwalk at seaside park. Smoke and flames could be seen for miles. Wind gusts of up to 40 Miles Per Hour kept the fire going into the night. This blaze included many explosions likely from fuel supplies. This morning, the flames are under control. You are looking at live aerials this morning, 7 00 a. M. Local time, 400 firefighters called in to battle this last night. Funtown you can see here only in ashes. This is the same area devastated less than a year ago by Hurricane Sandy. Just this summer work crews completed repairs to the boardwalk from the storm surge. Governor
