Gap Inc. announced to employees this week it would be closing its Old Navy offices in Mission Bay and consolidating those workers into the parent company’s Embarcadero office building.
The new Old Navy Inc. headquarters will operate out of 1 Harrison and 2 Folsom streets.
The closure is yet another example of companies slimming down office footprints amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Just last week, Yelp confirmed its San Francisco headquarters at 140 New Montgomery St. were up for lease. Twitter, which operates its headquarters at 1355 Market St., listed 104,850 square feet of the attached 1 10th St. building for sublease in September 2020 and Pinterest paid $89.5 million to terminate its lease for 88 Bluxome in August 2020.
