early morning travelers may see authorities at the eastern iowa airport this morning. they were called out there around 7:30 last night for a suspicious substance found in a bag. kcrg-tv9 s forrest saunders is live at the airport this morning. forrest, what can you tell us so far? chris, nicole, it s back to business as usual here at the eastern iowa airport. earlier this morning though, totally different scene. airport police had closed off this entire area, the bag claim, while hazmat checked out an unknown substance. here s what authorities are telling us: this started just before 7 pm. airline personnel altered airport public safety a suspicious bag had come in on a flight from chicago. the bag area was closed off a little while after. hazmat was called in to investigate. hazardous. the bag claimed area re-opened around 4 a.m. no one is in custody. no flights were impacted. nor should they be for the rest of the day the next flight arrives in just a few minutes. guys? liv
