Developing right now caldor Fire R Cal fire counts 18 wildfires burning across the state. You can see it here on your screen some of the most notable ones, the Dixie Fire and the Caldor Fire. This morning there are concerns over a new wildfire prompting Evacuation Orders in auburn. This is the Bridge Fire that started under the Foresthill Bridge in the auburn state recreation area. This quickly grew to 250 acres triggering an Evacuation Order for about 500 people. Evacuation warnings have been issued for more people there. Right now the fire is still burning out of control. The threat to south Lake Tahoe maybe over as the fire is now moving away from the area. Just this morning, the south Lake Tahoe Police Chief said he knows what the entire city evacuated. People are anxious to return to their homes. We know this is very tense and stressful for our citizens. Thats really the main thing were focused on right now and keeping their neighborhoods and businesses safe. Weve started some things like trash pick up. Um you know, theres a lot of bears in Lake Tahoe. Theres all these other things that we probably didnt think about up front. The Police Chief said more than 100 Law Enforcement officers are patrolling the city to make sure homes and businesses are safe. And just within the past 15 minutes, Cal Fire announced that they are lifting some of the evacuation warnings for several neighborhoods in El Dorado County in places like cement hill, Coyo

What happens is as the winds blew from the north that pushes it down into the region, and thats why a lot of people probably noticed how hazy it was and you could smell it in the air.
