Tech Mahindra Foundation has partnered with OxygenForIndia, a volunteer-run organisation put together by the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy (CDDEP), to deploy 3,000 oxygen concentrators and 40,000 oxygen cylinders.
OxygenForIndia will raise $10 million to begin with - with contributions from Tech Mahindra, industry and various citizen bodies. This movement will support creation of oxygen capacity across 15 cities and Tier-II towns. This would benefit Covid-19 patients and reduce the stress on the India’s hospital eco-system.

New Delhi, May 12 : As India continues to struggle with the second and more brutal wave of Covid-19, technology companies Tech Mahindra and HCL on Wednesday pledged support to strengthen the country s fight against Covid-19.
Tech Mahindra Foundation, the CSR arm of Tech Mahindra, announced its support to Mission Oxygen, an initiative by Democracy People Foundation, to ensure last-mile delivery of oxygen supply across India.
The partnership will strive to ensure that hospitals, nursing homes and medical care facilities, especially in tier-2 cities, get immediate access to oxygen.
Tech Mahindra Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Growth Jagdish Mitra said, "We are aware of the likelihood of the virus coming back in another wave. Therefore, (we) feel the need to support our country to prepare better by strengthening the healthcare system, especially in areas where the cases are to peak in the next 3-5 weeks based on analytics and data modelling."
