Infected after using the jacuzza spa there in june, but is okay. The first way we were able to shut down part of the business is they didnt have a permit. Then, when we made the investigation between the two cases, that was the first thing we looked at. It was the fact they didnt have a permit that allowed us to shut that piece of the business down. Highway, miner avenue, 11th street, in san pablo, mandatory evacuations. People could be kept away for up to 24 hours and the evacuation area could expand. Firefightersand county health say the chemist coowner is being cooperative, but sounds like he had a bit of a hazard storage operation there, using a robot to try to figure out whats in there and how dangerous this could be. They all have been found in various containers. At various stages of degradation, very unstable. Were trying to mitigate the situation at this point to make sure they get disposed of safely. They will have to secure the chemicals before getting rid of them. If they have to cart them through the neighborhood, they may have to expand that evacuation zone. Theyre being evacuated to a shelter set up at Contra Costa Community college gym. That is on mission bell drive, and the red cross is there to help. No word on what, if any, charges the chemist who owns these materials could end up facing. Yeah, mysterious there.
