The Curious Case of Kadarius Toney By nygcody11 on May 7, 2021, 1:05pm EDT + I can’t lie I didn’t really know much about him coming into the draft. In all honesty I thought he was a running back/return guy so I wrote him off as a player we would be interested in. Horn, Surtain or Waddle were the guys we had to take had any of them been there at 11. I personally wanted Parsons. I can’t but help think Smith was never going to be our pick at 11 based off of what we did at 20. If we wanted Smith at 11 so bad wouldn’t we have just taken Rashod Bateman at 20? The Eagles and Cowboys wanted to screw us and I feel they both came away feeling stupid. I liked both teams drafts in their own right but I am happy the Cowboys didn’t get one of the top corners and the Eagles just seem a mess. The trade down to 20 seemed a bit far as the clock was ticking and players were coming off the board but the extra draft picks next year kept me at ease. Kadarius Toney ....
Positive Spin on Trading Wentz By mbizzle on Feb 9, 2021, 8:09am EST + if Carson Wentz, our franchise QB that was drafted only 5 years, is traded (as it seems to be inevitable), there is actually a lot to be excited for. I, for one, am a big Wentz supporter. His on-field play in 2020 bothered me far less than the way he s conducted himself since the season ended 2 days ago in the second most boring superbowl in 3 years. I really believe that Wentz was unfortunate and simply never have any real game-changing talent around him, as well as a shuffled and tired offensive line. However, his flaws were not to be ignored either. He had trouble throwing the deep ball, he turned the ball over too many times, and he apparently lacked a real sense of leadership. ....
By Mike Wennmacher Feb 8, 2021 2:09 PM Reports started circulating over the weekend that the Chicago Bears were one of a couple of teams interested in acquiring QB Carson Wentz from the Philadelphia Eagles. Wentz struggled mightily last year and really has not been the same since returning from an Achilles injury a couple years ago. Much like the Deshaun Watson situation in Houston the relationship between Wentz and the Eagles has deteriorated quickly. The question is what will it take for the Bears to get him and is he that much of an upgrade over Mitch Trubisky? What it will take to get Wentz according to current reports would be QB Nick Foles, an additional offensive player, and the Bears first round pick in this year’s draft. The inclusion of the first round pick is where the deal falls apart for me. Getting Foles out of Chicago is fine as things haven’t really worked out for him here thus far. An additional offensive player that is fine as well even if ....
